Session 1: 8:00AM – AV over IP Networking Fundamentals
This session will cover the fundamentals of IP networking and how they apply to configuring switches for AV over IP. Topics include basic networking concepts and then graduate to more specific topics such as IGMP, Multicast, PTP, AVB, and ST2110.
Session 2: 10:00AM – Intelligibility
What is it? How do I get more? – 10AM to 11:30AM – This hands-on workshop will explore the tools that are available for prediction and measurement of Intelligibility. No more guessing if the sound system will meet the needs of the client, we can predict how well it works before the first construction begins. We can also verify that the performance of the system meets the design goals. Audience participation will be included in this event.

Join us to discuss the importance of frequency coordination, antenna placement, and the addition of distribution/combination hardware. Get an introduction to the latest advancement in RF technology, WMAS (Wireless Multi-Channel Audio Systems), and how recent FCC rulings “enable more microphones to operate with greater efficiency”. * This is a non-credited session.
Session 4: 2:00PM – Lighting 101
Does your extent of lighting design knowledge consist of ON or OFF, then you should attend Lighting Design 101. This session will be an introduction to the basics of lighting design such as Illumination, Mood, Texture, and Energy. We will discuss the various types of lighting fixtures, directions of light, color theory, and DMX distribution/programming as it relates to the main concepts of lighting design. Attendees will hopefully walk away with a better understanding of the purpose of lighting and lighting design. * This is a non-credited session.
